Festive Holiday Fudge

February 10, 2015

Welcome to the easiest (and debatably, most delicious) holiday treat recipe you may ever read!

Fudge is definitely a treat. I don't know of anyone who is eating fudge on the regular (if you are then get it, girl) but it definitely is a more decadent dessert. Perfect for the holidays, because it's simple, quick, and delicious. I especially love this recipe because it uses few ingredient and still tastes amazing!

Holiday Butter Cream Fudge
1 package of white or milk chocolate morsels
1 16oz tub of buttercream frosting
1/2 tsp. of butter extract
1/4 tsp. salt
candy canes

1. Place chocolate morsels in a large, microwave-safe bowl.

2. Melt the white chocolate morsels in the microwave on 30 second intervals, stirring
in between (to avoid burning). I do not have a microwave, so I melted the chocolate by boiling water in a small pot and place a heat-safe bowl on top of it that does not touch the water. The chocolate will start to slowly melt, so continue stirring to make smooth & prevent from burning.

3. Once the chocolate is melted & smooth, add the frosting, butter extract and salt to the bowl.

4. Microwave (or over-boiling-water-heat) an additional 90 seconds,  Stir until smooth.

5. Pour into 8 x 8 foil or wax lined pan.

6. Remove candy canes from wrappers, place in a plastic bag, and crush.

7. Take crushed candy canes, and sprinkle on top of fudge.

8. Place fudge into the refrigerator until firm (2+ hours).

9. Remove from fridge and cut fudge into squares.

10. ENJOY!!

What is your favorite holiday treat to make?
