Chef Mary's Hummus Recipe

Mary was the chef at my sorority house in college, and she was amazing! She made some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten, but no other creations top her hummus.

I remember thinking for years, "before I graduate, I need to get her hummus recipe," and I did just that! The last day Mary cooked for our class, I stalked the kitchen to finally get her to write down her recipe, and it was it worth it!

Her version is tangy and slightly spicy, which made my hummus dreams come true!

This recipe is also simple and wholesome.

If you make it (and I suggest you do!!) Enjoy it! :)

Chef Mary's Hummus

Ingredients:
1 can of garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/3 cup of tahini
1/8 cup of olive oil
1/8 cup of water
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of cumin
1/2 teaspoon of coriander (cilantro)
1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
2 Tablespoons of lemon juice

Directions:
1. Rinse and drain the garbanzos
2. Add all the ingredients to the blender or food processor and mix until fully blended
3. Enjoy! :)
