I can't believe it's almost Memorial Day Weekend which means it's almost pool time!
A natural tan is obviously nice, but we all know it's much healthier to fake it with a little makeup. When I think summertime makeup it's all about minimal, but with some bronze and glow.
Here is what I used to create this super simple, but pretty, bronze and glow look.
The obvious star of this look: Bronzer. Here I used the BareMinerals Ready Bronzer in The High Dive, which a great summery, natural color. An amazing cheaper alternative for this bronzer is NYC's Smooth Skin Sunny Bronzer. The bronzer should be used not as a contour, but as a natural way to bring color to your face. Place it wear the sun normally hits you: your cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, shoulders, collarbone, etc. It can be easy to go overboard with this, so use a very light hand and keep it natural!
An illuminator will not only make you look extra glowy, but it will also keep you looking young and healthy. My favorite is Nars Copacabana Illuminator, but the Revlon Skinlights is an amazing drugstore alternative. Place the illuminator down the bridge of the nose, on your cupid's bow, atop your cheekbones, under your eyebrows, and even in the inner corner of your eyes, if you fancy!
To bring a little bronziness to my eyes, I like to use the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. It's a no fuss cream eyeshadow that has an incredible iridescence. I apply this with my ring finer on my eyelids and blend up, It lasts all day and it just looks so amazing on so many different skin tones.
To finish off the look, I like to add a nude lipgloss just to add some shine and tiny bit of natural color. My favorite lipgloss for this is Kardashian Khroma Honey Stick in Natural Honey. This gloss isn't sticky, has a great color payoff, and it smells and tastes like honey.. which is super summery!
Does this post get you excited for summertime? It does me!!
