Healthy Beauty: Part 2

June 22, 2015
In my first installment of Healthy Beauty, I went over the most common toxic ingredients in beauty products and why they should be avoided. In this segment, I want to go over brands that are notoriously healthy (for the most part).
I say for the most part because sometimes these brands still get flagged for fragrance ingredients, which can cause irritation for people with really sensitive skin, but if you aren't sensitive to fragrance, most products from these lines are good to go!

Burt's Bees
Burt's Bees is definitely the most accessible natural brand, The brand has expanded so much in the last few years, that they have skin care, body care, makeup, even baby products! I love the whole stance behind this brand, and am so glad to see it growing. I also think it's one of the best brands in general for skincare.

Yes To
This brand got really popular with their makeup wipes, but have since grown so much. They have excellent skincare products that cater to so many different types of skin (different skin types get different fruit such as carrot, blueberries, cucumber, etc.) I personally love the Yes To Blueberries & Yes to Coconuts ranges.

Tom's of Maine
I love this brand, because they make products natural that you wouldn't even think need to be natural. I love their all-natural deodorant (aluminum-free!) and even enjoy their toothpaste. Who knew too much fluoride could be harmful? This brand does. This brand is legit and only keeps getting better.

Dr. Bronner's
Dr. Bronner's first busted onto the radar with their amazing soaps (which are actually AMAZING to use to clean makeup brushes!) They have excellent body wash, hand soap, lotion, and are starting to cross into other areas such as oral care. This brand used to be found exclusively at the health food store, but it is now found at Target! Rejoice! Also, the range of scents are insane.

Carolla's Beeswax & Other Stuff at the Health Store
When looking for a new nighttime face cream (my old one and ran out & had an upsetting amount of parabens) I perused the natural food aisles and came across the Carolla's Beeswax Skin Creme. If you have dry skin, this stuff is natural and life changing. My face has debataly never been better. Which leads me to want to try much more stuff from the health food store!

If you're apprehensive about any of this stuff, don't be afraid to try the extremely helpful Think Dirty App to help reveal the product's healthiness, and stores always take returns if you don't like a product, so keep your receipt!

What are your favorite healthy brands?

xoxo Mollie
