I've never been a huge fan of heavy or cake-y looking makeup. Sure, a smoky eye or red lip is fun occasionally (okay, sometimes really fun), but beauty products should really be used to enhance each person's unique, natural beauty, instead of being used as a way to cover up your true self.
Today I've teamed up with Glossier to share my favorite personal products to enhance, not cover up, natural beauty. All of Glossier's skincare & beauty products contain natural ingredients to show off your beautiful skin & self, so what's not to love?
I was always anti-primer, until I heard people talk about hydrating primers. A way to add extra hydration? I'm interested! These bad boys can be worn alone or underneath makeup. Glossier's Priming Moisturizer contains an anti-redness complex, which is amazing for those of us with sensitive skin. Too Faced's Hangover Rx Primer contains electrolytes to add in extra hydrating properties. Both primers re-hydrate & plump the skin, making it look gorgeous without the use of those heavy ingredients in regular primers, such as silicone.
Lightweight Facial Tint
I love light-coverage products to use to even out my skin tone without covering up my natural skin. Glossier's Skin Tint evens out the skin and adds a pretty glow in a sheer tint that adapts to your specific skin tone. Another similar favorite of mine is Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, which also deliverers a similar light, skin-evening tint, while adding up to 250% extra hydration back into the skin. Both of these options are easy to use and unbelievably gorgeous and natural on the skin!
This may seem unnecessary, but boy are facial mists addicting! Facial mists are soothing, refreshing, and can add extra skincare benefits throughout the day without having to add or take anything away from your makeup look. Glossier's Soothing Facial Mist contains rose and aloe which are amazingly soothing on dry or sensitive skin. First Aid Beauty's Vitamin Hydrating Mist contains vitamins and antioxidants to fight off environmental aggressors. Both are revitalizing and add a boost of hydration and dewiness throughout the day.
Moisturizing Facial Masks
If you've been reading my blog or watching my YouTube videos, you know I love a good moisturizing mask. One of my favorites is Origin's Drink Up Intensive Hydration Mask that you can wear overnight and practically wake up with brand new skin. If overnight masks are just not for you, Glossier's Moisturizing Moon Mask is also incredible. Not only does it pack a huge punch of hydration, but it has brightening ingredients for the pesky little dark spots. Both of these masks restore elasticity and combat dry skin on another level.
I hope you enjoyed this post and that it has inspired you to take a more lightweight & natural looking approach to your beauty routine! Please don't forget to check out the amazing products from Glossier over on their site, as well as their incredible blog, Into The Gloss.
