Clarins Instant Light Lip Oil Dupe

January 13, 2016
If you frequent blogs or YouTube videos, you may have seen several people raving about Clarins Instant Light Lip Oils. They are supposedly incredible for dry lips, being glossy & hydrating, without a sticky finish.

These lip oils are really nice and luxurious, but also boast a luxurious price tag at $24. So when I saw the display of the Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatments - I'm out of breath with that long name - on display at CVS for $7.99, I was more than happy to take a look.

The Milani options come in a wide variety of scents and shades (which don't really matter because they are so sheer anyway). I opted for the raspberry flavor, which has a nice, very subtle, pink tint and claimed to replenish moisture with Vitamins A & E,

Just like the Clarins option, the Milani Lip Oil has an amazingly huge doe-foot applicator that I love using. The oil is really nice, not sticky at all, and it adds a decent boost of moisture.

The only regret is that I wish I would've gone for a less-offensive scent than the raspberry option (several options are unscented). It is really sweet-smelling, which I can deal with, but at one point when I was wearing it, I took a drink from my water cup, and then every time after that I could taste & smell raspberry.

Aside from the strong scent, I actually really have enjoyed using the Milani Lip Oil. I especially like applying it before bed and waking up with baby smooth lips.

Have you tried the Milani Lip Oils? What do you think?

xoxo Mollie

  3. I've never heard of this Clarins products, but from the description, it sounds like a great product, especially if it doesn't have a sticky residue. That's the thing I hate about lip gloss.

  4. Sounds like great products!! Love the review!!
