Modern Renaissance

Back in June, Anastasia released the Modern Renaissance Palette, their first permanent palette of the brand. When I initially saw the palette, I didn't think I was interested. The extremely warm orange and red tones seemed unwearable to me, but once I started seeing everyone use the shades in tutorials, I kind of became obsessed! I justified the purchase because I had a Sephora gift card, and have recently given away some older eyeshadow palettes that weren't getting a lot of use. Not to mention I have no colors like this and I also tacked on the reasoning that it could be my birthday gift to myself (even though my birthday is next month...)
I'm so glad I did pick this palette up! It's so unbelievably pigmented and the colors are absolutely stunning. You can create anything from orange or red smokey eyes, to even super wearable daytime looks. The colors are mostly on the matte or satin-finish side, but the two shimmers are a gorgeous way to top-off a look or open up the eyes. The inspiration for the shadows' colors come from paintings during the renaissance period, and I really think that's what makes the shades so beautiful. Not to mention the pigmentation and blendability is probably the best I have ever seen!
This palette is in high demand and keeps selling out, but try to snag it during the Sephora VIB sale this weekend for 20% off, if you can! Also, be sure to look out for me creating fall and winter looks with Modern Renaissance on my YouTube Chanel in the near future!

Have you been able to get your hands on the new Anastasia Palette? What do you think of the colors?
