Sunday Riley's Luna Sleeping Night Oil before bed? Groundbreaking.
(Note the Devil Wears Prada reference.)
I know this is literally the product heard round the world, but hear me out: it's incredible. Yes, it's pricey, but it lasts forever and it works.
Now that that is all out of the way, let me jump into why I, and so many others, are so obsessed with this blue oil. This oil is not only very hydrating because... it's an oil... but it also has stellar ingredients. It contains retinol which produces cell turnover, and is the ultimate weapon against anti-aging and adult breakouts. I have always found in the past that retinol irritates and dries my skin out, but since this retinol is inside of an oil, it actually reduces my dryness and breakouts by ten fold!
Luna also contains blue tansy which helps reduce redness and irritation, as well as chamomile which soothes and softens the skin.
I apply Luna Oil as the last step in my nighttime skincare routine. I apply three drops to my hands and massage it into my skin until the blue pigment is no longer visible. I use Luna every other night as to avoid any breakouts, because although it is super soothing, my skin is still sensitive and just cannot do it every single night. On my nights off, I use a general moisturizing oil, like the Palmer's Cocoa Facial Oil just for added hydration.
As for the price, this tube is $100 (gulps), but it last for so, so long because you don't need much product during use to create an impact. Also, I got mine during the Sephora VIB sale when everything is 20% off, so that knocked $20 off. I highly recommend getting it on sale if you are worried about the price.
There is major hype on this price for a reason, and it's a product I can genuinely see myself using for the rest of my life! For full disclosure, because of the retinoids, you cannot use this product while pregnant or breastfeeding.
