A bit delayed, but on the second portion of our ski trip, my boyfriend and I spent the last day/night in Denver. We had a gorgeous drive down from the mountains into the city where stayed at an incredible hotel, called the Halcyon Hotel Cherry Creek. I had never actually stayed in Cherry Creek before, but I absolutely fell in love with the area! It's filled with adorable little shops, some you may know, and some you may not, and even a super cute coffee shop, Aviano, which we visited twice!
Our hotel was fantastic. It was brand new and had a really unique look about it. Not only were the rooms incredible (hello, record player, insane bathroom, incredible artwork) but the place was filled with free courtesy's like free drinks and coffee until 10 PM, a complimentary car to drive you anywhere within a 5 mile radius, free rental of bikes for the area, etc. I highly recommend everyone stay here, and for the price, it' beats any kind of chain hotel!
For dinner, based on almost everyone we knew's recommendations, we ate dinner at The Mercantile in Denver's newly re-done Union Station. I am not over-exaggerating when I say it was easily one of the top 5 best meals I had ever had!! In the morning, we dined at Zaidy's, which had so many delicious breakfast choices, and one of the best bagels with lox I have ever eaten.
