Ghostly Makeup For Halloween | Easy & Last Minute Idea

October 24, 2017

I am always down with Halloween, but I am never one to go over-the-top with costumes ideas. I always appreciate someone who goes all out for the holiday, and love the clever costumes, but I am always the one scrambling last minute to figure out what I want to do.

I actually won't be Halloween-ing this year due to travel, but if I was, I would definitely be doing something like I'm showing you here! Dressing like a ghost is really all in the makeup, and I was able to create this look really quickly and all with stuff I already owned!

First, I used the lightest concealer I had on hand (Maybelline Fit Me), and dotted it all over my face before blending it into my skin. I wanted to my face to be really light compared to my neck. You could also do this with a lighter foundation you have on hand.
Next, I used a dark, Taupe, eye shadow from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette and really carved out the area under my cheekbones with the color. It created a super dark "hollow" look which is super ghostly! I also used this shadow around my entire eye socket, to create the look of sunken, hollow eyes.
After my face makeup was complete, I went ahead and filled in my eyebrows with Boy Brow and put o
n mascara as normal (L'Oreal Lash Paradise). I then used Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Moon, because if not now then when? It's a fun gray-brown color that I thought fit this look perfectly.
For the final touch, I added Flour to my hair to make it look dull, grey, and a but whited-out. You can also definitely use dry shampoo, but the one I am using at the moment does not show up enough in my hair.

That is really all for the makeup-look! After that I threw on a white t shirt, leggings, and white bootie-slippers, but you can really do whatever variation of ghostliness you would like!

I hope this super quick tutorial was helpful for this Halloween. If you aren't going to use this, what are you going as this year? I'd love to hear!
