2018 Self Care Goals

Happy New Year everybody! You may (or may not have) noticed, but I took a little break after Christmas and the New Year Holiday season to spend time with my friends and family. It was wonderful but I am ready to get back in action!

I'm really excited for my New Years resolutions for 2018. My first one is to volunteer with an organization. I want to give back more and I really do find a lot of joy in volunteering. I have been researching local organizations to dedicate my time to, but I would love to hear if you guys have any charities that you love volunteering for. Let me know in the comments if you have any recommendations.

My other resolution this year is to be better about self care. It's so easy to overlook taking care of yourself, but especially with our wedding later this year, I want to take time to take care of myself so I feel great every day. Not only does that consist of making time to work out and making decisions to eat better, but also making it a point to treat myself to a manicure or facial once in a while, or make time for a 20 minute face mask twice a week... there is so much I can be doing that will help me feel better day in and day out. It's all about making time for me-time to unwind. Even in the last week or so, I have felt so much more relaxed by making it a point TO relax. It's been amazing and I definitely want to keep it up all year long.
